MCAH EPIDEMIOLOGIST, FULL-TIME POSITION
PROGRAM SUMMARY:
Under the general direction and supervision of the Director of Community
Assessment, Planning and Education (CAPE) unit, the MCAH Epidemiologist is
responsible for epidemiological studies and analysis, community assessments,
public health planning and evaluation of public health programs - working
closely with the MCAH Director and the MCAH programs.
ELIGIBILITY:
Master's degree in epidemiology,
demography or closely
related field. Experience Designing, conducting, and analyzing
epidemiological
data - two years, performing data analysis on large data sets- one year.
Knowledge of MCAH issues and experience analyzing relevant data preferred.
SALARY:
Bi-weekly: $ 1582.40 - $2436.00

EPIDEMIOLOGY AND RESEARCH ANALYST
POSITIONS, FULL-TIME POSITION
PROGRAM SUMMARY:
Persons hired for these positions would be involved in all aspects of the
analysis of the
Los Angeles County Health Survey, a
large county-wide survey that obtains information on
health behaviors, health status, and access to and use of health care services.
Analysts would assist with the development of the 2001 instrument, and with the
dissemination of survey results
targeted to the general health community and
organizations throughout the county
(e.g., via reports, LA Health briefs,
special analyses, presentations) as well as papers for peer-reviewed journals.
Research and Epidemiology Analysts would also be involved in other
research and assessment projects in the Office of Health Assessment and
Epidemiology.
ELIGIBILITY:
A Masters degree in Public Health or equivalent and experience in SAS are
required. Writing and presentation skills are also a plus.

PROGRAM SUMMARY:
Bench International has been exclusively retained
to recruit a Epidemiologist or Health Services Researcher responsible for the
design, measurement, and evaluation of health management outcomes and
epidemiology studies for 8,640 company employees for a major corporate client in
the Midwest. The fulltime
position is newly created and the principle activities will focus on research
and analyses of the impact of health management programs on the employee health
and productivity, and the development of data analytic approaches to the
critical review of initiatives related to employee health care utilization,
health care management strategies and benefits design.
The incumbent will also be responsible for data and research initiatives
that support the company’s global occupational health and safety efforts (20%
time) and 10-15% travel will be required.
ELIGIBILITY:
PhD/advanced degree in Epidemiology or close
equivalent with emphasis on health services research and measurement methodology
required. Strong interpersonal and
communication skills; demonstrated project management skills; and experience in
the analysis of large claims databases, survey data, survival analysis, cohort
studies, morbidity and mortality registries also required.
Experience with quality of life analyses and general survey design and
publication record preferred.
