EpiNet is a newly developed resource
center for current students and alumni
of the Department of Epidemiology at the
School of Public Health. It is intended
to be a comprehensive and centralized
resource for those researching
opportunities in the fields of
Epidemiology and Public Health
Although update periods may vary from
time to time, we expect to have site
information updated on a weekly basis to
keep all items as current as possible.
The most recent submissions for the
employment, internship, and, fellowship
centers will be listed in order of
receipt. Previous submissions will be catalogued
by date of receipt and placed in our
archives on a weekly basis as well.
Although
some of our postings will come from
internal school sources and career
listservs, the majority of the items
posted to our site will come from
visitors like you. Anyone who is aware
of an opportunity within the field is
encouraged to use our "Submit to
EpiNet" feature to provide us with
all pertinent information.
It is very easy to post an item to
EpiNet. Simply go to our "Submit to EpiNet" page and fill in any
information you may have regarding a particular employment, internship, or
fellowship opportunity. Please try to be as concise as possible. Once we receive
the item, we will review, edit, and post the item within 5 business days. If you
do not see your item posted within that week, please notify the webmaster. We
will attempt track your submission and notify you about the status of your
posting.
Yes,
additional resources will be included in
a new and expanded version of this
website scheduled for release in
Mid-July 2001. We will be adding an
Alumni List and Alumni contact form to
encourage networking between current and
former students of the UCLA Epidemiology
program. In addition, an information and
link page will provide assistance to
students on locating potential funding
resources and data warehouses that are
of interest to current and former
students. Finally, an EpiNet Events calendar that
will notify students and alumni of
upcoming events and conferences inside
and outside the school of Public Health
is also being considered. However, we
welcome any additional ideas regarding
site content.
